Billy Ray Cyrus Accuses Soon-to-be Ex-Wife, Firerose, Of Alientation And Abuse

Billy Ray Cyrus Accuses Soon-to-be Ex-Wife, Firerose, Of Alientation And Abuse

In new court documents from Billy Ray Cyrus’ ongoing divorce from Firerose (whose real name is Johanna Rosie Hodges), he has made allegations that not only has she attempted to alienate him from his family, but she has also verbally, physically, and emotionally abused him. This follows Cyrus’ decision to file for divorce from Firerose on 22md May after only seven months of marriage. He cited ‘irreconcilable difference’ and ‘inappropriate marital conduct’ as the reasons for their separation, pushing for an annulment of the marriage on claims that the entire affair was based on fraud.

Court documents detail the 62-year-old Cyrus’ claims that Firerose actually tried to stop one of his daughters from communicating with him during ongoing divorce proceedings by taking his phone and blocking her number. His complaint reads that, “Since the Plaintiff filed his initial complaint, he discovered that the Defendant had been conducting a campaign to isolate the Plaintiff from his family…He has discovered that the Defendant, unknowingly to Plaintiff, blocked at least one of his daughters from being able to contact him on his phone(s) or electronic devices”.

This comes after several weeks of other accusations between the two since the debacle commenced two months ago. Thus far, Cyrus has also filed for a temporary restraining order from his estranged wife, claiming that she made $96,986 worth of unauthorized charges on his accounts. In response, Firerose, aged 35, made her own claims that Cyrus had been ‘unpredictable and volatile’ due to substance abuse, accusing him of a pattern of ‘extreme’ verbal and psychological abuse during their relationship.

Cyrus fired back on Monday of last week with his own claims that he himself was abused physically, emotionally, and mentally by Firerose, vehemently denying her allegations of abusive behaviour on his behalf.  His lawyers write that, “Defendant’s allegations of abuse were only made to sensationalize her false complaints by using the word abuse…While the plaintiff would acknowledge that he was certainly vocal, frustrated and angry with the defendant in May 2024, it is the plaintiff who, in fact, has been abused. Not only verbally and emotionally by the defendant, but PHYSICALLY”. Furthermore, he has also claimed that Firerose had scheduled the ‘elective’ surgery as a method to manipulate and blackmail him out of his plans for divorce. According to court filings, she allegedly threatened to “tell everyone that you did it because of the double mastectomy and your career will be over”.

The pair first got engaged in October of 2022, less than 1 year after Cyrus’ split from Tish Cyrus with whom he shares several well-known children in the public eye – daughters Brandi, 37, Miley, 31, and Noah, 24 — and sons, Trace, 35, and Braison, 30. Cyrus made public their relationship and engagement with an Instagram post at the time which showed the couple posing together, Firerose clearly wearing an engagement ring. A year later, the couple tied the knot on 10th October 2023, both of them taking to social media to celebrate their union.
